Gerald M. Malmo, III, CLTC
Gerry enjoys 35 years’ experience in the financial services profession.
He was born and bred in Mt. Airy, NC. He graduated from the School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics (the “C” School) with a BA in economics. Also, he earned his M.B.A. from Wake Forest University. However, he would contend his true education came via the “School of Hard Knocks.”
He is a member of the Winston-Salem Estate Planning Council, member and past president of the Stratford Rotary Club, qualifying and court of the table member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
A lifelong Anglican, Gerry and his bride, Patty, are members of Olivet Moravian Church. Additionally, they live in the countryside with their Gordon Setter “Katie” and one tough cat, “Leo Kilmouski.”

Cole Foley
Cole joined the firm in June of 2022 in an assistant/associate role. He has obtained his required licenses and looks forward to becoming a producing member of the group. He graduated from Davidson College in the spring of 2022 with a BA in Economics, achieving Dean's list in several semesters. During his course at Davidson, he was a four year letterman on the football team, earning 1st and 2nd team All-Pioneer Football League Honors his senior and junior year respectively. In addition, he was awarded the Bronko Nagurski scholarship following his senior season. Originally from Winston-Salem, Cole is an alumnus of Mount Tabor High School, and is a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church.
Linda Harris
Linda has been working as Gerry's executive assistant for the past 24 years, at both the Malmo Group LLC and Holden and Mickey, Inc. While working in her current role, Linda has acquired both Series 6 and 63, as well as a NC Life Insurance License. Before working with Gerry, Linda worked at Renfro Hosiery for 22 years in the production planning department. Prior to her time at Renfro Hosiery, Linda graduated with honors from Surry Community College in Business Administration. Originally from Mount Airy, NC, Linda now resides in Thurmond, NC with her husband Rick and her cat, Miss Kitty. They have 4 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. Outside of work, Linda is a member of the Zephyr Missionary Baptist Church and enjoys makes meals for the widows of the church and assisting her husband with his music ministry at a local nursing home.
